How to Create SLA ALert

Task: Creating an SLA Alert with name ACME Below Yellow SLA Alert for ACME Client with below yellow condition Daily notification

SLA Alert:

Login -> Dashboard -> Alert Management -> SLA Alert

a) When to create SLA Alert:

Critical clients and critical client files are typically set up with SLAs and SLA alerts.The alert will be triggered when the client file processing falls outside the parameters of the SLA/KPI discussed in the previous section.

b) How to create SLA Alert:

With SLA alerts, Alert Name, Description, SLA/KPI Name, Condition, Expected Time, Start Date, Priority, Subject, Body and Email are mandatory fields. KPI Name needs the name of the SLA/KPI created in create SLA/KPI previously. The SLA/KPI may be client-based or file-based. Based on the condition set on the SLA/KPI, if it matches, then alert will be generated.

When setting up the alert you need to establish the timing for monitoring. Input the frequency with the Expected Time and the Start Date on which to start monitoring. Place content into the body that will help provide more context and information when an email is received. You can select the notification type as Dashboard, Email or both.

Procedure to Follow:

  1. Enter Alert Name(ACME Below Yellow SLA Alert)
  2. Enter Description(ACME Below Yellow SLA Alert Daily Notification)
  3. Select KPI Name(Client Based Acme Percentage SLA)
  4. Select Condition(Below Yellow)
  5. Select Expected Time(Daily)
  6. Select Start Date
  7. Select Priority(1)
  8. Enter Subject and Body(Required data)
  9. Click on Email button to provide Email-ID for which Alert notification need to be sent to.

Note: All the mentioned fields are Mandatory(*)

After filling all the fields with data and click on Create button.

 The user has set an alert ‘ACME-Below Yellow-SLA Alert’ condition based on a percentage to the SLA named ‘Client Based ACME Percentage SLA’.

In the above ACME-BelowYellowSLAAlert’ where the ‘ClientBased-ACME-Percentage-SLA’ matches the below yellow condition value then alert notification is raised as shown below in filegps dashboard.
