How to Create New SLA/KPI

Task: Creating new SLA/KPI with File based and Client based SLA with Percentage and Duration.

Description:

When SLA is created?
A Service Level Agreement (SLA) is a commitment between a service provider and a client. It is sometimes called a Key Performance Indicator (KPI). Before creating the SLA alert, you will need to create an SLA for the client with the required processing parameters to model the condition.
There are two types of SLA
a) File-based SLA
b) Client-based SLA

How to create an SLA:

a) File-based SLA:
Whenever you need an SLA alert based on file name use the file-based SLA. The mandatory fields for a file-based SLA are SLA/KPI Name, Description, File Name, Time Reference and Type of SLA. Use a file name using the create file name pattern mentioned earlier. Based on the time reference SLA value calculated for that period.
Need to select a type of SLA either percentage or duration for setting the range value to get an alert based on requirement condition.

b) Client-based SLA:
Whenever need an SLA alert based on client name will go for client-based SLA. Here SLA /KPI name, description, client name, time reference and type of SLA are the mandatory fields. need to give client name which is created in the create client. Based on the Time reference SLA value calculated for that period.
Need to select the type of SLA either percentage or duration for setting the range value to get an alert based on requirement condition.

Creating Client Based SLA:

Procedure to follow:

  1.  Enter SLA/KPI Names(Client Based Acme Percentage SLA)
  2. Enter SLA/KPI Description(SLA For LastCompletedMonth Percentage)
  3. Configuration – Client based/ File-based(Client Based)
  4. For Client, Select Client name and Client Id(ACME Client ,ACME001)
  5. Select Time Reference.(LastCompletedPeriod,Month)
  6. Select Type of SLA(Percentage)
  7. Click on Add SLA

Following above steps Client Based SLA is successfully created.

Creating File-Based SLA:

Procedure to follow:

  1. Enter SLA/KPI Names(File Based Acme Duration SLA)
  2. Enter SLA/KPI Description(File Based Acme Duration SLA)
  3. Configuration – Client based/ File-based(File Based)
  4. Select Filename(%ACME%)
  5. Select Time Reference.(CurrentPeriod,Month)
  6. Select Type of SLA(Duration)
  7. Click on Add SLA

File-Based SLA with Duration:

Following above steps File Based SLA is successfully created.
